Dear Constituent,

Thank you for contacting me to share your support for the Industrial Hemp Farming Act.

I am a cosponsor of this legislation again this year. I join several of my colleagues in the growing support for eliminating legal barriers that prevent American farmers from competing in the global industrial hemp market.

The Industrial Hemp Farming Act would allow American farmers to participate in this booming agricultural market by requiring the federal government to respect state laws allowing the growing of industrial hemp. The measure would amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of "marijuana."

Industrial hemp offers American consumers many legitimate and high quality products. It is time to establish a rational policy concerning this valuable and versatile crop.

Thanks again for sharing your support for this legislation.

Sincerely,

GEORGE MILLER
Member Of Congress, 7th District
